On the 27th September we
invited everybody from all around the world to plant trees and
participate in helping the environment. By doing so, you will help
save our planet Earth by doing your bit in transforming it to become
greener.
Come and bring out your ‘environmental side’ and help reduce the
offset CO2 emissions and provide habitats for wildlife.
Show compassion to animals, let us learn how to forgive each other
and move forward with a renewed heart, friendship and inspiration.
Please send your photos and videos to admin@centreforconsciousawareness.org,
so that we can upload for others to become aware and inspired of
what you have done to help.
On 17thJuly,
Srinivas Arka held a conference on personal growth and self development in
Preston. It was a windy afternoon but the atmosphere was cosy with a very
welcoming audience. The conference opened with Srinivas Arka describing the
differences between mind consciousness and heart consciousness, he
highlighted the necessity for people to dedicate time to discover and
reawaken their heart centre.
“Everything has a centre. The cell has a nucleus, the body
has a heart,
the solar system has the sun”
~
Srinivas
Arka~
The conference was engaging,
inspirational and interactive. Shortly before the conclusion, the audience
was briefly introduced to the concepts in Arka Dhyana and then given an
opportunity to take part in a touch and sound exercise involving the heart
region. On the whole, it was a great introductory talk with everyone hoping
for Srinivas Arka to return soon to Preston.
On 15th July 2010, Srinivas Arka
met with the Mayor of Preston,Councillor
Albert Richardson. Councillor Richardson was elected toPreston
City Council in 1978 to represent the Deepdale (now St.Matthew’s
Ward). Over the years he has served as the Chair ofEnvironmental
Health and Control, Chair of Leisure Services, Chair ofEqual
Opportunities, Chair of Licensing and Chair of Eastern AreaForum.
Councillor Richardson was also the Mayor of Preston for theyear
1990 -1991.
On the morning it was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at the
localcity council
hall, where the main topic of discussion was the plansand
vision of CCA to set up a community centre in the North West ofUK.
The vision includes an eco-friendly centre to be located withinthe
countryside surrounding Preston where it will create numerousgreen
jobs and allow at the minimum, plantation of 100 trees in 5acres
of land.
The plan is for a multi-purpose centre that will engage the
local andnational
community to provide a peaceful environment for leisure, sports
and learning. People will be able to learn music, dance andcrafts,
while having the opportunity to take part in nature themedexercises
and share their knowledge and insights about how to live, learn
and grow by being eco-friendly. Overall, it was a facilitativemeeting
between Srinivas Arka and the Mayor; it laid the foundationfor
the beginning of CCA in the North West.
